Getting it Right

We made some good decisions this Christmas. The first one was deciding to sleep at our house so the boys would sleep in and so that we could sleep in too. (This became even more important when Isaac woke up with what we think is an ear infection this morning. Poor guy is a little miserable.)

It was fun setting up their presents and putting together things. We really are parents of toddlers.

The second thing we got right, was the purchase of these new cars for the boys. We haven't even removed them from the boxes yet. There's no need. They are so mesmerized by the noises they make that they were in this position for a good 20 minutes.
The third major thing we got right was the purchase of another football. Isaac was feeling sick, or he would have been showing just as much enthusiasm as Austin.

I do need to mention one bad decision made. I brought mint brownies down to Christmas Eve and to keep them set we stuck them in the snow. They were a little too set. While cutting them Shawn cut his thumb pretty bad. After over an hour of trying to get the bleeding to stop he went to his sister's family friend who happens to be a family practitioner. Because of his generosity, we did not spend anytime in an ER Christmas Eve. (He said Shawn cut an artery in his thumb. Without stitches he would have been bleeding for probably 5-6 hours!)
